My Name is Lou Cifelli

I began taking photographs at an early age. My first camera was a Kodak Retina 2 rangefinder. My first SLR was a Yashica TL Electro X. I began shooting slide film only and developed my own slides. I shot primarily nature and landscapes. Living on the east coast the change of seasons was my favorite time to shoot. Fall colors were amazing!

As I continued to develop my photography skills, I became fascinated by color and light. I had been pencil drawing since I was 8 years old. Color art was limited to color pencils.

My transition to digital cameras was in 2007. My first digital camera was a Canon 30D. On a trip to Italy, I used both film and digital cameras. As the days passed on that trip I completely switched to digital imagery!
